Default 4.10s + stall on the way

I have a 2000 gt auto thats stock besides a sct 89 tune, prochamber and exhaust. I have 410 gears sitting here, and monday im ordering a DD 3800 converter. Should I wait to install the converter until I get my gears put in? Do I need a dyno tune for the converter,or can bama write me another tune? Also, what else do I need for the converter install?

You can install the gears now, then install the stall speed later, after all is installed do a dyno tune...all you need to install the stall speed is your basic tools and a tranny jack. make sure you mark your drive shaft flange to your rear end flange to put the drive shaft back in exactly the way it came out. However I would recommend you upgrade to an aluminum drive shaft from Ford racing. Others who have used the stock shaft after installing 4:10's have noticed drive line vibrations with the stock drive shaft.

I dont think you need a dyno tune after just installing 4.10s and a converter.

You're going to love the 4.10s and 3800 stall. Your car is going to be a whole new beast. You don't need a dyno tune but you might need to have Bama adjust your shift points.

That is going to be a radical improvement on your drag launches, if it hooks. What suspension and tires are you running?

that's my combo, you're gonna love it off the line now, it's a completely different animal!

like everyone said no tune is needed for these mods, other than just adjusting the speedo really. do you have a shift kit? if not i have a trans go equipped valve body I'm selling
