To answer all questions haha:

1.) Yes i was running street tires, so i was quite happy with my 60 ft by the end of the day
2.) I have 3.27 gears, but i have 3.73s sitting at home waiting to be installed haha
3.) The car is NPI, but ill be making the pi swap soon
4.) I think the reason my trap speed is lower is because the gto next to me jumped the line so my start was very jittery, i started and kinda let of the gas and hit it again.
5.) I'm spraying a 100 shot

Any other questions feel free to ask haha

Don't take this the wrong way, but my 2000 with minor bolt ons would have beat you. I pulled a 1.99 60 foot on all season street tires and ran a solid 13.7 at 101.

Something isn't right with your setup man. As far as the GTO scaring you, that's BS lol that's a really good 60 foot on street tires so there's no way you messed up the launch. Seems like you know how to drive but the car is bogging down somehow. Unless you're running a small shot you should be able to get better times out of her. I realize it's a NPI motor, but the spray should easily make up for that and then some.

See my only mods in the first post of this thread:

https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...prised-me.html

Questions and I apologize if I missed something in the thread.

1) Were you having traction problems when the spray kicked in or just off the line?
2) What HP shot are you running?
3) What was the air like the day you ran?
4) Were you granny shifting so you didn't explode something (also what gear were you finishing in 3rd I hope)?
5) Where does the car seem to bog? Maybe the NPI heads and such are really restricting you.

I just looked at my slip, it looks like you either bogged, or spun right after the 60 foot. You would have had me by a hair in the 60 foot, but there after my car ran faster and was ahead the whole time. You had a smooth run throughout, so my guess is you spun a bit when the spray kicked on right after the 60 foot when you probably went WOT. Knowing and assuming that, that's a decent run with a NPI motor, wait until you get that setup on the PI motor, you'll be flyin.

Nailed it haha, thats exactly what happened I think, cause after the 60 ft is when i went WOT, so I think thats what bogged me down

as for what kind of day it was it was between 55-60 degrees.

A bit of wheel spin will actually increase the trap speed. I still contend that some optimizing is needed with the nitrous set-up. It should pick up more MPH with spray(especially a 100 shot).

More details on the nitrous set-up...
Wet or dry kit? What jet sizes are you running for fuel and for nitrous? Bottle pressure? Purge valve or no?

True but you need a balance between bog and spin, but too much spin will kill it, which is what I think happened to him. Unless there is something wrong with his setup when it initially kicks on. But if he said he spun, he spun. Spinning ain't winning.

Unless he spun his tires a long way down the track (I hope he would have pedaled it a bit before doing that), he wouldn't have lost 5,6,7 mph in 1/4 trap speed. Without more information, I still cling to the idea that he is missing a fair amount of the power his 100 shot should produce.

Pi or not, the 100 shot should be getting him much better traps. My car with only 3.73 gears, 240rwhp, and a pair of very old and dry factory original street tires was trapping 81.5-82mph in the 1/8 and 101.5-102 in the 1/4. I just can't see a 1/4 trap below 106mph with a 100 shot.

On motor alone (283rwhp) I trap 108mph (at our local slow track) to as much as 112mph (at our fast track). I would expect the 100 shot to get him to at least 275rwhp.

Trap speed is mostly about power to weight ratio.

I'm hoping to be able to help him out a little, but need some more details to see if I can...

I agree...trap speeds are low for a 100 shot
