93 Octane question
Well I just recently bought a SCT eliminator chip... I have the 87.. 91..and 93 tune... Here in California I think most places there is only 91 octane fuel... In my town I have the option of race gas 100 octane... So my question is how much 91 octane to how much 100 octane would i need to make 93 octane ? one gallon of 100 to 5 gallons of 91 ? anyone know this ? just wondering if this would work ? thanks.

I'm sure it would work. The ratio needed i cant tell you. However, it might be easier to fill completely up with the 91 octane and use an aftermarket octane booster. There might be a ratio on the can that would give you the octane rating you are after.
Although, I have never messed with octane booster and don't know of any ill affects of using. Just a thought. Maybe someone else will come along and give a yea or neigh to the idea.

Why not just run the 91 tune?
I cant see it being much different from 93 tune
As for the gas question..I will take a stab.
If your tank let say is 20 gal Im guessing if you put 15 gals of 91 and 5 gals of 100 it should be pretty close to 93 maybe a little higher.

Do you have the Bama tuner? If you do just plug your tuner into your computer and go to the bama website and load the 91R tune onto your tuner, they are free anyways....I wouldnt take the chance of to much octane in your engine, dont know if it would hurt it but i wouldnt do it....if you cant get more tunes for your tuner just run 91 octane on the 93 tune, its not going to hurt anything, just may not give you the full HP that you could get ith 93 octane
