Cobra brake upgrade?!
Wow... I was incredibly active with the whole mustang community, modding, racing etc etc a few years ago... I joined the Marines... pretty much had my mustang parked in a garage for like 3 years
anyways, like 3-4 years ago or so I was looking at a FRPP cobra brake upgrade for my GT. American muscle had all four disc + calipers and lines for I wanna say 900?
Everyone that had it, said it was a major step up from the standard GT system.
long story short, I'm back home, pulled out my girl, swapped the plugs, fuel filter, trans fluid, oil/filter change, coolent system... whole 9 yards...
so im driving her and she's a little shakey, and basically figured out I have a warped rotor... plus the pads/rotors i have need a little update anyway...
but i cant find the dang cobra/mach1/bullitt upgrade kit anywhere and all i see are wilwoods and brembo FRONT brake kits for like $1500+
what gives? did FRPP stop making these things in the few years I was outta the loop?
any cheap( or cheaper than $1500 for only the front) recommendations? I wanted to swap out all four rotors/pads/calipers and lines which is why i had that kit in mind...
HELP!!! haha

GT03... First and foremost....
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
Secondly... save yourself a bunch of money and have JUST as good a brake, for even a pretty hardcore driver.

His best bet is to run OEM calipers, rotors and just upgrade the fluid, the pads and possibly the lines to SS. I am currently researching possible kevlar-reinforced OEM lines that may already exist on the SN95. If this proves to be the case, probably $225 is all that is needed and will stop you 100% as well as any cobra upgrade and save that money for possibly better tires. Reason being, brakes are only as good as the tires one runs and have found most pepes on the forums don't run proper tires for his/her needs.
