Default Wanting to turbo charge the Gt

Not sure as to what good kits ther is that won't kill me on price, but will be good for running safe around 8psi or so. Also what else would I need to upgrade. Not trying to blow the motor just want it for some extra hp. I heard running low boost I wouldn't have to upgrade much but I want more opinions from you guys. This will be on a 04 mustang at 74xxx miles.

Well on3 performance offers a kit for like 1875 or something like that. But with that you're gonna need a new k member, a arms, and front coilovers. Plus you're gonna need a fuel pump, injectors, and a maf. I remember reading that it would be easier and cost less for a supercharger since our engines are limited to ~~400-450whp

Honestly if you don't plan on building the motor just supercharge it, I pulled the kenne bell of my car to go twin turboed and love the power the turbos gave me but there was a lot of expense and head aches that came with the turbos enought to make me wish I would have just left the blower on the car.

To be honest I don't have a clue how much it would be. Is there a reason why you want to turbo instead of supercharge? A vortech or procharger would be less money in the end and a lot easier and get you to around the same power

Il definitely look into that then. I just love the way turbos sound and I had heard turbos are the cheaper way to go.

I'm not sure who told you turbos are cheaper than superchargers but they have no idea what they are talking about. I have about 10k in my twin turbo kit, front suspension, install, and tune you can get a supercharger for less than 2k if you look hard enough

+1 to going with a blower on a stock motor...you cant really turn the boost up and utilize the extra power a turbo will provide.

You can do a base on3 turbo kit, FF for 2100 bucks and will need the UPR k member....

also need all the other crap like maf, injectors, fuel pump, and tune.

Thanks for all the opinions, I'm going to stay away from the turbo kits, and work towards a supercharger
