Squeaking engine noise, increases squeaking the higher the rpms
Hey guys, so about 2 days ago my engine started to squeal a bit and as the rpms got higher the squealing got louder and faster. Ive done some research and just want a second opinion/verification. Ive looked online and alot of people said its the idler pulley or the belt. NOTE engine does not squeal at idle only when accelerating. So does this sound more like an idler pulley going out. Tomorrow ill try the trick of spraying the belt first with some wd40 then the pulley.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Dude I had the same problem a while back. Turns out it was the alternator pulley for me. I just sprayed WD-40 all over and around it and it worked for me lol. Not sure if that was a smart choice but haven't had that squeak for over 6 months now!! Try working on alternator pulley first cuz I wasted money replacing idler pulley first, which didn't help in the slightest bit.
