Cobra calibers with machined bracket, clearing 15 inch wheels with no spacer.
Yep you heard it, almost finished with my machined caliper brackets to run a 15 inch wheel up front with no form of spacer. Re-drilling and dropping the caliper bracket down about .5" and a custom .100 bracket spacer and a tiny bit of grinding + dropping from a 13" rotor to a machined 12" rotor and BOOM cobra brakes with 15s and no wheel spacers. Ill have some pics up soon and details if anyones interested. Baer did something similar like this for the CMC events but there no longer available. PICS coming mid next week.

No, the machine work is beindone a walsh tools, i dint ask chris but i know he doesnt have the measurement tools and a milling machine to do what i wanted, so dont say anything around him about it

I'm not into 1/4 mile, so maybe you can explain something to me.
If you're going to a 15" front wheel, you want to run skinny front wheels and tires. That means less rubber section width and and a smaller tire contact patch.
I don't see any benefit to Cobra calipers because your front braking is limited by the smaller than OEM GT and even V6 contact patch. In other words, wouldn't smaller lighter GT brakes lock up the fronts just as quickly as Cobra caliPers? Those skinnies aren't going to do much for stopping even with six piston Alcons. And, with a drag style car, you won't be driving on twisty mountain roads or a road course heating up the brakes.
I'm thinking you would get the same front braking performance from a set of rear rotors and calipers.

1. Its a street car.
2. I dont run skinnys all the time.
3. Cobra calipers have a different piston diameter than the twin piston gts and are also lighter.
4. Still need a stong set of front brakes to lock up the front tires for a brakestand at the dragstrip

Well, never had a problem with the stockers doing that! Just run Powerslot rotors and hawk brakes and stops on a dime after a run. Still would like to do the Cobra conversion tho
