Default MMR, MHS or Foxlake heads....

Talked to the guys fixing my car and they said that everything looks good (HEARD THAT ONE BEFORE) and they will start installing the motor next week. Hearing that, I ordered the following mods: Eddy vic jr intake, Aem 320 lph high flow fuel pump, HP 292 cams, MMR fuel rails, MHS 6061 plenum and 60lb injectors. Now I'm kinda looking to my next big project. The heads. This probably want happen to next spring but was wondering what would be the best heads to go with. I'm really leaning towards Foxlake after reading some things about MHS and MMR that occured a couple years back (I know sh** happens). I talked to a shop in St Louis and they said that they could send my heads to foxlake, get them ported and put back in my car for $1800.00. Sounds like a really reasonable price to me but was wondering what you guys thought. Thxs for the help guys!

You'll probably get about 10 different answers depending on which heads guys themselves have had luck with. I don't think you can go wrong with MMR, Foxlake, or Livernois.

I have MHS heads and they are fantastic, however MHS went downhill very fast from what I have heard and the original owner has sold it so do not know the current status/quality

In the past I would have jumped straight to MHS since I run both their stage 2 cams and heads but now that Nick sold out and gave up managing the business on his own they haven't been easy to deal with and I've heard of quality issues a lot more as of recently.

If I were going to spend 1800$ on heads I would go with the Twisted Wedge heads. Otherwise, stock heads will be fine for a while.

Once again thanks for the info. I'm going to spend the extra hunk of cheese and go with the Trickflows. Who sells them the cheapest? Also I miss you to Purp!

If you do the Trick Flow heads, Edelbrock intake is a must!
