Isn't that the BS marketing ploy that was popular during the days that the 1st Fast and Furious came out?
Turbonator was shaped like a fan blade in the intake and "supposively" increased air flow IIRC.

Yes PurpleIcedGT, you are right, it was that electrical "turbo" fan in the intake. The theory that it was like "forced induction" and added like 1-2 psi to the intake charge was baloney. It didnt flow enough air fast enough to create a positive vacuum charge to the intake. Matter of fact, testing showed that it actually lowered hp due to it RESTRICTING the intake flow. Novel idea, but the only electric supercharger that works was a company I havent heard of for years called Thomas Knight Superchargers if I recall properly. I dont think they are in business anymore. That right there tells me that the guy is full of baloney. Poor guy, taken in by marketing. The hp figures shown for each of the parts on their websites, like when a set of aftermarket pullies says it "adds 11 hp!" is with all other possible mods on the engine and with a performance tune. Even then, they are usually not talking wheel hp, they are talking crank hp, so usually its only a few hp for most people when they do mods like these.

AHA!!!!! It's the turbonator/intake spacer combination!! The spacer allows for more vortexed air generated from the turbonator! It sounds like he turned the power down because he didn't want to throw a rod lol.
