Default Do my dyno numbers seem low to you?

Finally got it on the dyno and this was the result. Mods are in my signature. Just want opinions from others on the forums. They seem a little low to me honestly.

What makes you think your tuner's dyno isn't correct?

Wishful thinking...I guess I just wish it was higher, but oh well.. I guess that explains why I can barely go 13.9 at the track and only 101 trap speed. Well this and my tires suck (sumitomo) and I can't drive for **** (2.275 best 60' time) and the fact that I have a convertible with 18 inch rims.

With better tires and more track time you'll get better numbers at the track.

You'll get better numbers if your car is tuned on a dyno. Canned mail order tunes are crap.

Numbers seem a little low but the power under the curve looks really nice. you do have to remember the 262 cam isn't a "big" cam.

Take into account the years and the parasitic drain, I think those are decent numbers for the mods you have. It is disheartening that they aren't higher, but they aren't numbers to be ashamed of.

Get a dyno tune and those numbers could go up. However, as mentioned, the curve looks really good for a canned tune.

If you had done a before/after I bet you would feel a little better about this.

Ok guys thanks for the input. I guess the numbers are decent for what I have. Based on the graph at what point should I shift to get the best times?

it's a damn good curve, got within 15whp of your peak number all the way from 4500 to 6300. I think with a dyno tune you may get better peak numbers more torwards 280 which is where I think those cams should put you with a good tune. but is the cost of the dyno tune worth that much? with the good curve I'd say no just leave it.

for track times get a dr and 12's are available when you get some more practice.

If you've still got a stock midpipe then I think the numbers and a canned tune are good and what i'd expect.

OP, I was once bummed about Dyno numbers on my 13 5.0, then after a while I stopped caring and realized fast is in the eye of the person behind the wheel.

265hp out of 4.6L isn't bad, and those are rear wheel numbers (assuming you dyno'd the whole car, not just the engine) Stock they were getting 210 at the Rear Wheels, so the mods you put in and the numbers are decent for a 4.6L

If you're going to spend money on anything... may I suggest lowering it. Grab some Ford Racing B Lowering Springs... right now it's looks like a 4x4.
