Default Idle?

Why do our cars take so long to idle down after starting. If it is below 35 deg
mine took 5 or 6 minutes to go from 1400/1500 to 1000. I took my BBK CAI off
and put the stock airbox on and it still takes 3 of 4 minutes

Any other car I have owned took less than one minute.

I believe it has something to do with the oxygen sensors in the exhaust system. The colder it is outside, the longer it takes to warm up the oxygen sensors for normal operation.
