I agree..I think i have missed 1 shift in 2100 miles of driving and that wasfrom failing to have the clutch in far enough before I attempted to shift...was racing my bud with a G37. After that we swapped cars. By the way..I hate the way that G37 steers

I agree that the stock shifter really isn't that bad. But the retro ball shift **** and billet stick just looks so much better than the stubby black plastic ****. If I could get that look on the stock shifter I probably would have done it that way.

the throw is fine, i dont like the way it feels when your in gear, all my fox bodies i had shifters in, when you were in gear, there was no left-right movement, esp. as much as the new car, the throw itself is great, i just want a more old car feel, when i drive my 86 5.0 the hurst shifter just feels so much more MUSTANG...

I know this is an old thread, but the newer threads tend to deal with 11-12 Mustangs with the Getrag. I'm curious about the Roush shifter. I see that Blair noted the extra NVH/sound in the dashboard. Did he re-use the stock rubber bushings as per the Roush instructions, or did he use all of the included polyurethane bushings?

He mentioned that he might try the MGW in the future, but if you read the MGW instructions, the maximum throw reduction it will give you is 50%. The Roush is advertised as reducing throw by about 50%, so the MGW won't be any shorter of a throw. That is quite a significant reduction because my 07 GT has a throw of 4" from 3rd to 4th, or 2" from 3rd/4th to neutral. It seems that Blair's 2010 GT had the same 4"/2" throw like my 07 GT, and that the Roush reduced that to 2"/1"

Are there any other comments regarding the Roush? Does it have an internal spring mechanism that wears out like the Steeda or MGW?
