Default Could you make a hp prediction?

Hello I just ordered a Magnacharger with the 2.85 inch pulley.. They say the 2.85 is good for 10.8 lbs of boost, but I seen they are actually getting around 9.5-9.9 ... I am just hoping to be over 400 rwhp.. I also ordered the Kenne Bell Boost a Pump.. This is with a automatic tranny.. The kit is still on backorder just getting anxious now. Does the Steeda CAI help out that much? Next year plan on going with tubutalr K member, 1 pc DS and LT's.. Just would like also to be somewhere in the 11's..

A larger throttle body my give you the extra 1 psi you are looking for with the same pulley.

I'm not sure how the Magnacharger does with power production but if it didn't make more than 400 rwhp then there is something wrong.

Thanks Simon I'll keep that in mind... Stock the Maggie is pullied for 5.5-6.0 lbs of boost , which is usually around 370-390 rwhp. I believe the stock pulley is around 3.23 inches.

It's a M112 blower same as Ford uses on GT500's. I'd think it will mostly depend on the tune and how aggressive it is.

Here's some documented answers.

go to AllFordMustangs.com has a few of it's members that have Magnachargers.. they can answer some of your questions. I had a ton of them as well when I thought about getting one. I think you should be making about 429ish whp, but some have had cams/LTs done and been making upwards to 460-480whp easily. There are issues with belt slip and tear on those, something about removing a washer behind the belt pulley or something liek that, it takes care of the problem. I posted a video of an MP112 making 650whp on a built TrailBlazer SS motor, so those blowers can still make a ton of power. Same in diameter as the M90, but an inch longer and it's front intake inlet

edit: where did you order it?? waiting sucks..

J&M Hotparts is where i ordered the kit... Been dealing with a guy named Brian over there.. 3850 for the sc and 60 bucks for the smaller pulley and 238 for the Kenne Bell Boost a Pump. Hope its a big difference from NA.. Waiting does SUCK!!! Been waiting 2 weeks and still have 2-3 weeks to go..

wow, that's a great price! Did you get larger injectors as well?? you can make some really good numbers if you did! I think you will be making right around 450-460whp, I could be wrong though. There is a dude on youtube making 500whp with that kit.. uses a C&L racer intake head & 90mm housing, which DOES need tuning but it helps out tremendously, from what I have been told. Post pics and vids when you get a chance, it's a great looking kit!

The injectors are the stock for that kit... 39lb ... Steeda CAI is nice , but not the price. Do you think I would pick up any going with the GT500 tb?.. Thanks for the compliments.. I will defintely post some pics when I get it installed. Do you have any experience with Meth injection? I thought I could use that to help keep my IAT's down..

With the throttle body you may pick up the an extra pound of boost and some better throttle response.

My suggestion is to get everything installed and get it dyno tuned by someone who has done blown S197s before.

I absolutley agree Simon about installing and getting it dyno tuned... I dont mind leaving a little on the table for a margin of safety...
