Hesitation/surge under light throttle
Got a question for you guys...when I'm applying less than 10% throttle, the acceleration seems inconsistent. It kind of surges a little, noticeable only to the driver of the car (passengers can't seem to feel it, at least not near as much). It is slightly more prevalent when the engine is under load, such as when I'm on an incline or when I'm in a high gear and low rpm. Also, I have confirmed that it's only related to the amount of throttle input, not the rev-range of the engine.
I did the throttle position reset, changed the fuel filter, and cleaned the throttle body. It seemed to first happen after I went on a roadtrip that was 6.5hours one way, which has me suspicious about the notorious fuel pump. Also, it threw a check engine light that said something about a fuel injector, but it went away the next time I pulled it up to write down the code (and hasn't come back since). I plan on calling Bama to get another tune tomorrow in case the last one I got was slightly off or something, wouldn't hurt to try.
Engine Mods: Airaid Race CAI, Bama Race tune, Mac long tubes, Mac Prochamber, Bassani Race mid-mufflers (boy, sure does sound like a ricer setup when half of my engine mods have "race" in them!)

Manual or auto? Sometimes the manual's notchieness can feel like surging when it bucks. Certainly NOT the fuel pump TSB issue since that has to do with heavy acceleration following some steady state cruising. The culprit air bubbles don't form and accumulate otherwise.
Have you run a tank or 2 of SeaFoam? If you have an iffy injector, I'd certainly SeaFoam once or twice. It's a cheap attempt and certainly won't hurt.
What happens when you swap tunes?

Nuke had a great point, have you attempted any sort of SeaFoam? This will definitely help clean up your engine a bit, which could help your surging issue.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance from me, I'm only a PM away. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

I'm sorry to hear about the surging you're experiencing, I know how annoying this can be! We can absolutely look into your tune for you and see what's going on there. However, I don't imagine it's the tune if you've had our Bama tune on there for a while now and just started having this issue!

As far as the tune is concerned, I changed the tune the day before the trip, so I don't want to rule it out. With that in mind, I'll be giving you guys a tune request real shortly here

Ghunt, id chalk that up to a cold clutch. Theyre more grippy when cold, doesnt slip as much so car jumps. Also when the car first jumps, it makes you press the gas more, which makes it buck harder, then you let off instinctively, bucks again. Vicious cycle lol. Welcome to sport clutches lol. Completely normal.
To the OP, grab a can of mass air flow sensor cleaner. Spray it down. If its gunked up it wont be reading the airflow properly/consitantly. And use actual mass airflow sensor cleaner, other solvents can wreck it. They can be sensitive.

I had this issue and it turned out the the oil blow by that gums up the TB also gums up the Charge motion plates. I ended up taking my TB off and cleaning both sides of it and also cleaning the Charge Motion plates under the intake. They were really dirty and after they were clean my surging was gone. It was a slight pain to do, and I now have a oil separator on which should prevent either from happening again.

Interesting, didn't think of cleaning the charge motion control plates! That would make a lot of sense given that the problem only presents itself at low throttle input. I did clean the throttle body, but this is the next logical step (and the TB was so dirty that the CMP's must be too). Might as well clean the MAF as mentioned earlier, too. Couldn't hurt I guess.
