Default 2007 Roush Charged GT

Hello

I'm strongly considering buying a 2007 Mustang GT Premium with a Roush supercharger. I'm pretty up & up on the 99-04 Mustangs, not too much the 05-09's

The car has 45,000 miles (mostly highway with some trips from WI to TX and back)

I have yet to see the car in person as its a 2 hr drive away. The photos I've seen are amazing. I've included a few in this post.

The reason I made this post, I am looking for some tips from you experts. Is there anything specific I need to look for on an 07 or with this engine setup? I'd feel awful if I bought it and later found out I should have checked this or that. He does have a 3.31 rear end in it. I'm thinking that will change to a 3.73 if I buy it

** the last pic looks like its a salt-free driven vehicle to me.

Thanks!

The roush m90 is a nice little charger, I am very happy that I intalled one on my car. It adds about 100 HP over stock and really wakes up the car. You can add some other mods that will max it out around 450 rwhp if you do end up getting this car. The only downside is thats it, the blower gets real inefficient when spun harder so dont expect 500 HP out of this car. Other than that just check out normal stuff when looking this car over. Dont pay a large premium for the car just because it has the blower either. It should not be priced much over what a standard Gt for that year sells for.

What 808muscle said! Mods don't get their money back in resale (the sad truth) but ok for the buyer I guess. The motors are pretty darn strong in the 3V 4.6 until 450 hp or more. I would not regret taking the drive over and taking it for a test drive, then you can use your own judgment on if the car has been taken care of or not by obvious wear and just the character of the owner. Do it! Looks like a nice low mile car to me

This may be a stupid question, but how does the 4.6L w/M90 & 5sped compare to the 5.0 NA 6 sped of say a 2011/12?

right out of the box the 5.0 has 100 more hp than the 4.6. I get about 18 to 20 mpg in my 05 5 speed gt with 38000 miles. ive talked to 5.0 guys and they say its common to get 25 to 29 mpg. your gonna pay a lil bit more for a 5.0 over a 4.6. the roush looks like a badass pony. I haven't driven a newer 5.0 and that's probably a good thing as I really started out looking for a cobra... but anyways. before you go and see the roush, go test drive a coyote just so you know what you might be looking for and go from there. I just reread this and I hope your not more confused haha.... good luck

Yeah, you did confuse me a bit

I'm not in a financial position to buy a 5.0 for a summer car. I can swing the 07 4.6 Roush

I'm wondering how the 4.6L Roush will accelerate compared to a NA 5.0

I have a 07 with a M90, cams etc etc with 436 rwhp. I haven't driven a 5.0 but assume i wouldn't have any issue pulling away from one.

lawrencecar1 - it sounds like we have similar set ups - Roush M90 with smaller pully, cams and heads - did you experience any tuning problems getting power out of the mid-range (2000 - 3000 rpms) or throttle response when you punch it? I'm having those issues now.

It will accelerate more. The new 5.0 are 400hp but that's at the fly wheel not the wheels so im not sure what they are at the wheel probably around 365. You will pounce on them with this car easily
