Default RE: 05/06 GT Exhaust Systems

Has anyone ever heard anything about the new American Thunder Series System #17410 (Axle Back) Mufflers by Flowmaster for the 05-06 GT. If so, are they any good? Any info anyone could provide on this would be greatly appreciated thank you.

I have a magnaflow system installed by the dealer when he originally did a cold air and predator upgrade, and it is the best sound I have heard yet. Low and throaty

Need advise? Is it ok to remove the baffel in the 05 stock intake?
Warranty issues?
Power gain?
Looks cumbersome...

Removing this will obviously increase air intake. Not sure but I imagine it would require a chip flash, and if your going to buy a flasher u might aswell put on a cold air intake while your at it. they're cheap anyway, and worth it. Either way u should flash the chip.

Anyway, I just put on my Pypes O/R H, it sounds freakin AWESOME, way louder then I expected. sound clips just can't do it justice, just awesome.......

Well I just traded in my 01 for an 05 and it already has a flowmaster axle back which sound awsome I think. Heres the thing. I know a lot of people get axle backs, is that because the mid pipes are already free flowing enough or how should i go about finishing off the cat back is what i really want to know... is worth it?

05zexstang - If your talking about mine...thanks, she is sweet. Rims were about $2900. I think it sits low enough, in the front for sure, the back could be dropped a little bit, I couldn't imagine dropping the front much with the 20's, there already isn't much clearance.

01RobGT - The cats backs r not worth it, I have flowmaster axle backs, and the Pypes O/R H, it's sounds so freakin mean. keep the flows and get the O/R H, just keep the stock mid pipe incase there might be any reason to put it back on for a short while....... The H pipe is only $169 at brenspeed.com, free shipping, ordered it tuesday, had it thursday, and took about 45 mins to install, and it was the first time I had done a mid pipe on a car.

does anyone know what mufflers rousch puts on their cars? I drove one with the sport package and the only performance addition they had on the car was exhaust. Dealer said it was good for 40 hp. Doubt that was at the wheels but I wasn't going to argue with him. Anyway I liked that it wasn't much loader, just deeper and throaty sounding. On my 06' v6 I put magnaflow duals on it and it was louder than i hoped for considering my 4 and 6 yr. olds ride in back. So if anyone could help me out with those mufflers or know of others that sound great but aren't annoying please respond!
