Default Thinking of rebuilding my 2.3L???

Hey guys in the long run I plan on putting in a V8 but for now I need to save money and to build a V8, get a V8 tranny, an 8.8 Rearend iv spent A LOT of money.

I have a friend that gave me the 2.3L out of his 84 Mustang that he did a motor swap in. The motor needs a rebuild same as mine but I thought I could rebuild it and keep mine running till I get it done.

My prob is that I cant live with 88hp any longer. I want to know what I can do ni the rebuild to pull some more NA HP out of this build???

So,what are you going to do to the engine?
I have a line of engine parts at a very good price. put together a list of rebuild parts and I'll give you price quote.

Wow. The 2.3 liter huh?
I had a Turbo Mustang back in '80 with that engine. When it ran, it was great. But it ate turbo's due do oil coking and I was young, so after a couple of years, I sold the car.
I've often thought that car would be wicked with a V8

Try Esslinger Engineering. Look up their website and give them a call. They have 42 years of expertise with the 2.3l motors and building them for Midget Racing.
