Default Turbo questions?

so i was taking apart the turbo motor i bought and i broke three of the bolts were the down pipe connects to the turbo... ima easy out them tomarrow at work... i figured out the reason the guy sold it to me for cheap... the wastegate was stuck to were it was boosting like crazy and thats why the bearings are horrible in the motor... oh and were can i find a cheap rebuilt kit? i need rings, bearings, and a gasket kit...

esslinger might have some of it. not cheap though. that downpipe is a bitch though, i broke four.

lol.. i didnt break the bottom two.. lol...oh and how much "play" is the max in the shaft on the turbo?

Get the turbo rebuilt by a shop, end of story.

You cannot rebuild a turbo properly doing it yourself.

Cheapest rebuilder out there is blaastperformance. Cost me $300 after all way done

is it worth that to get my turbo rebuilt or buy a new one? i dont even have a clue which one i have...it is an 86 turbo coupe motor? and how can i find out which month it was made on for the rebuild kit?

If it's the stock T3 then it's a .60 cold side/.63 hot side.

Can you post a picture of it? and of the serial numbers?

The manifold is an E3, worst casting out there and **** to cracking VERY badly.

I would get an E6, stinger, bobs log, etc.

What are the numbers on the turbin hosing? .63?

ya its it the .63... what is the best? and how much will it cost? should i keep the turbo and rebuild it or get a bigger one?
