Probably gonna do a head stud kit and a main stud with strap kit and JE pistons and chromoly rods...anyone have any idea what boost that could handle.....which brings to mind do folks "o"ring the block and heads for high boost or is there a gasket that can handle ther high boost.

the holset will handle plenty of boost, more then you'll ever need for anything streetable. I've heard the Merkur and early TC T3 turbo's can handle a bit over 20 pounds, which is quite nifty too.
The rods are the weakest point in the engine, followed by the pistons...the crank is pretty solid. I am sort of curious about o-ringing the block too.
Your biggest hurdle in high boost is going to be fuel supply. If you want to run huge boost, you'll need huge injectors and a pump, and the stock computer won't take to different injectors too well.

stock - 250hp
Stock .60/.63 T3 turbo
Modded - 250+
hybrid T4/T3
Holset
SC50
etc
Alot of people run 24+ PSI with good fuel.
The amount of boost depends on the timing, fuel, mods, etc.
You'll lean out the A/F without a 255 fuel pump and at least 46lph injectors.

stage 2 bo-port port job with larger valves
Holset Hy35
stinger header/bobs log manifold
2277 cam or a bo-port stage 1/2 or a RR cam retarded 4*
Boost (20+) and 12* timing
52-64 lph injectors
J3 chip
good intercooler
3" exhaust
Stage 3+ from spec (clutch)
etc etc

I was looking at that....ist pretty impressive. my question is what is a j3 chip i havent found anything about that at all. is it a piggy back to a particular computer or what. if so which computers is it best with?? you seem to be the man here so just a couple of quick questions...are the 1.85 valve sets the best to go with and a i assume that 2277 cam is a roller?? does that need different springs or are stockers GTG. I have seeen some people running MAF setups...lightning inparticular seems to make sence since they are SOOO much bigger than any VAM. Also is a stock Throttle body good enough??
not much traffic here so i really appreciate all your inputs
