Updates for "No Hands?"
#22
I'm slowly getting it done, but life is dragging me down right now. I had to rebuild the front of my friends truck because he hit a flat bed truck the other day (had to pull his frame, fenders, replace the hood, and paint the front end...)
I'm stuck between pour more money in or say f-it and run it as it sits.
Fix the trans and oil issues with the turbo and run it till I either blow it or till I want more power... which ever comes first :P

Hey,
You could also sell it and get a 5.0. Your call though. Id make a tally of cost of paint and repairs and see how much your looking to spend and see how much you can geta clean 5.0 for.
Ill prolly go the same route as you to start with, for a Turbo swap and a T5 as well. Ill be using your trans swap thread as my guide Thinking of that, i will need a ECU that supports a Manual trans if i dont want to deal with a CEL complaining about the Shift Solenoids?
Thanks and hurry up with some pics lol.

Well I pulled most of the engine crap out now, its raining and I got to go to work now
I'm getting my 2.5" exhaust tubing for the intercooler piping, I have to fix the motor mounts, mount the intercooler, fix my oil issues for the turbo, route the pipping and a few other odds and ends then she's good to go for another year.
I took no hands for a drive before I did all the work and with only 8 PSI I ate a eagle talon for lunch, and I owned a chevette with a 2.8 V6 swapped in on nitrous, man have I missed my car
No pictures till I'm done since my camera didn't want to work for me

Updates!!!! no pictures though, lost my freaking camera.
got the intercooler mounted all nice and level, got rid of the rust in the core support area, hopfully fixed my return line issues, got the piping almost installed then ran out of wire for my MIG welder
Plans for monday (next day off)
- Fix the motor mounts
- Finish intercooler install (piping)
- Change the spark plugs
- repair valve cover seal (and re-torque head bolts)
- install water temp gauge sensor
- Drive it like I stole it!
Next week
- Install MBC
- replace struts, shocks, and undercoat the whole car
- see how far the boost gauge goes
