Default Question: If a part exists, but has no function... should I keep it?

I'm doing a swap from 2.3 to 5.0... got everything out, working on putting in the wiring harness, etc... and I run across this little guy...

It's color & composition make me suspect it's not stock... and then as I dig around and see what it's run to... I find that it's nothing! except the fuse box...

So what is it?

I will correct myself and say that I swapped out the wiring for the front lights, and ONE of the parking lights had a wire that ran from the parking light to a fuse, that ran in to this little thing... so it may have been serving a purpose for one thing, but can I just run the fuse in to the fuse box?

thanks...

Looks like either an aftermarket horn or and alarm system

That would make sense... Also as to why it is connected to the headlights...
Thanks! I'm definitely pulling it out then, it's just a jumble of wires that are giving me a headache.

Thanks you guys.
