nice! i would re enter my 1000word post but my phone internet failed to connect. simply reput i have seen vertical mount ic on draw thru setup but it was a total of 6" ic plumbing and on an engine that idle at 1500.

nice setup. super impressed. keeping this one short as to not have to chance re re submiting my post. maybe someday we can shoot the ****s about some interesting setups. im not so keen on the carbed turbo setups. plan on an interesting project someday in the near future.

sexsy-thru and thru. why dyno on a mustand dyno? dynojet has been proven to be a better dyno(more accurate). yea the mustang gives better ideas on partial throttle stuff *shrug* not trying to put you down-just curious. all my stuff is always on a dynojet. but free access is always a major factor. *wink* =>

oh!! also-howcome an essy circle track cam? slider or roller? betting slider. i heard their street strip solid roller turbi shaft is amazing. friend said the cams range was from spool to redline.

you also said you can take her higher. what bottom end? how many fps your pistons flying by at ~8000rpm anyways? i figured my 2.6 was only gonna crank 6500. set the rev at 7200 and beat her to bouts 6900 in second incase the holeshot is bad. but im looking at way dif rod angularities, piston weights, travel-ect... sorry to be nosey. you still pushin 140-145cid outa her or more?

The mustang dyno is the only one close by. The cam is a roller cam .655 lift and seems to work well, back in the mid 80's they didn't have any of the turbo grinds, Bo-Port wants me to try one of his high lift stage 3 cams, but this one works great. As for piston speeds I couldn't tell ya, it's still 140 cid. I do know it scares the hell out of me when you put your foot in it, probably just age, lol.

Here's the old chart from the dyno, it has a hell of a hp curve, the torque fell off quick. It should be doing alot better now that it's tuned better.

You don't have to bow to me, I just got sorta lucky. I'm a small fish in a big pond of 2.3T guy's. If you look at the video and the chart you can see where the lean spot is and you can here it on the video, I got it fixed now so I really need to go back to the dyno, it pulls alot harder now. I have never brought it to the track, just drive it every now and again around the block. Maybe this year I'll bring it and see what it'll do. I live in SE Texas around Beaumont.

after reading through so glad you dont always run 89 in it, can you not get 91 or 93 in arizona?

i threw down 320hp 344tq on my last setup. hy35 23psi, ported big valve head, 3" exhaust .505 lift modern performance cam, built bottom end, 80 lb injectors, HPX blow thru maf stock tb and upper tho, lol

first run on a dyno ever, the wastegate stuck closed and it pegged 30+ subsequently spitting out the cam seal.

430+ hp in a fox body with a curve like that seems like it would scare the s*** outta most of us lol

i can "get" 110 leaded race fuel if i wanted to. i cant afford that for dd'ing thou. lol

91 is at every pump here in az. my wallet doesnt like the extra 23 cents/gallon for 91 over 89.

thats not bad pull for stock intakes. i cant wait to step into my new setup. gonna be 115# injectors and a 95mm tb to custom single plenum intake. run twin bov and twin wastegates. speed density. huffin 18psi on 9.0:1 compression. hi volume low boost. thats gonna be an always 110 build thou. its got a good two years before i take it from the stand and into the bay. gotta reinforce the chassis a d do the susp/driveline. got a 75shot in the exh pointed right into the hot side and a 150 wet plumbed on intake. full boost at 2k rpm anyone?

^^^geezus lol thats gonna be intense, i'm working on a single plenum upper at the moment and then just porting the lower as much as possible. probably a 70mm tb, i'm hoping that with the free-er flowing intake i'll be around 375

and xtra 23 cents sucks, its about 8 cents more here so 93 all the way

im not sure 161cid will be enough thou. im aiming for 700whp & 750 ft lbs. want a rev range from 2800-6800. have the limiter pegged at 7200. *shrug* time will tell. im still debating if i am gonna use the b234f head or if i am gonna drop $$ for a bolt on svo head from essy. i think im gonna go folvo bc i can get cams reground by a friend and im all about unconventional. will see. got the bottom end on a stand atm. aint hard to pull pistons and notch em. arent cut yet anyways.

thinking about singh grooving the piston tops as well just for the hell of it. havent decided. it worked well in the last 455 build i did. but it was pop up piston. 13:1 comp drag engine. idled at 1300. we grooved the folger cans and it would idle at ~950revs. so ill see how squirrely i get.
