has anyone done this? looking to get some info on it

turbo or non turbo?

For non turbo. I have not seen any writeup. But should be able to be done. Take the 8plug computer and MAF. Repin into a non-maf car. Then also the wiring to the ignition may need change because 8plug is dis and 4 plug is not. This should be able to be done. Since 2.3 turbo has had them changed from distributor to dis. Maurice

what happened to the good old days when guys would rip out the efi crap and throw a carb on there. I say all emissions exempt four bangers should go out and buy an offy manifold and a pacesetter header and say f*** all that efi crap. A nice mallory distributor with mechanical advance, set the timing at 15* and go have fun


anyways, it can be done. just get the computer and repin the harness. look up the swap for the v8s, its almost identical

It isn't quite as easy as that, there are tuning issues to be considered. You would need some sort of piggyback/tuning apparatus to make it run correctly.

ASSuming a turbo application of course.
