Default Cam differences.

I am in the middle of building a turbo 2.3L and the turbo cam in my 87 turbo motor was shot, so I swapped in what I was told an "88 NA 2.3l ranger cam and followers" and some of the valves will never shut completely. On autozone and o'reilly auto parts websites, the cams are the same, so I assumed I could swap them. Can I adjust the lifters so that the valves will close?

Thanks
DJ

PROBLEM SOLVED!

The lifters were just sticking open. I let the head sit for a night and they bled down. The cam and setup will work fine! Sorta feel dumb, haha

Thanks
DJ
