I'm in the midst of tearing down my engine, and now I'm wondering how hard it is to remove the egr and all the other crap, and is it worth the trouble? I'm not even sure how beneficial it is, but it sure would clean up the engine bay.

As far as power it is a no gainer. Clean up under the hood yes. I have read there are good reasons to keep egr valve. Engine is tuned for it and had a man of years it is better to keep it. Maurice
