Power brake booster for 4 wheel disc brakes
I have a 1966 mustang that I am building for my daughters first car. I put a Heidts front suspension in it, dics brake 9" and a 86 SVO motor and trany in it.Now I need toget a power brake booster and master cylinder. I was wondering what year of brake booster and master cylinderfrom a newer car with 4 wheel disc brakes will work in it?
Here are some picture of the 66 mustang 2.3 turbo engine swap.

I have a similar setup (Heidt's), but with a 4.6L motor and Explorer rear-end. I used the booster from an 89 Fox Mustang with V8. My master cylinder is from a 96 Explorer because I need the lines to exit on the driver's side (motor is too close). The Explorer has 4 wheel discs. Iused a Speedway proportioning valve (~$35, samevalve as Wilwood but a lot cheaper). I bought Mustang Steve's plans and pin to modify the pedal assembly (but I modified much more to use a hydraulic clutch). See his website. He can also give you the correct master cylinder (www.mustangsteve.com).

I put a 89 power booster, a 2001 master cylinder and yes I put a 300+ hp 2.3 Turbo SVO motor with a G3/4 turbo and 52 injectors. But before I let my daughter drive it I will take those injectors out and put the stock 38's back in it, the stock turbo back on it and takethechip out of the brain.

That's awesome But that unit won't fit in a 65-66. Not enough room. I believe the only way to get a dual bowl master and a booster in is to use a late model plastic-bowl type m/c.

Here's mine - 89 Fox V8 booster, 96 Explorer master cylinder (need lines to exit on driver's side for obvious reasons).
