i think it is actually harder to instal the mil's themselves then to make that piece. the drivers side is easy i had to get a girl to grease up her arm to put in my passenger side mil it took her about 20 mins but it worked and i havnt had a problem since. the car deff runs like poopie whent the CEL is on. nice work my friend

okay, i've added the schematic for those of you that asked. once you get the pc board that's required the finished product will look much cleaner
I just picked up an off road H-pipe and have also gotten the parts from Radio Shack to make these MIL's. Question is how would this set-up look with the PC board? I've done plenty of wiring but have never used a PC board and was just wondering how it would be done. Thanks.

Thanks for the info I also found that site through google. I just got my o/r x in the mail i plan on making them sometime in the next week

Here's my writeup on DIY MIL eliminators, we used to use 'em all the time on the later model Miata's.[/align][/align]There's no need to worry about the 1/4W resistors. First off the maximum voltage out of a O2 sensor is less then 1.0V, and the resistors are 1.0 MΩ...[/align][/align]Watt this all means is that the maximum power the resistor will ever see is 0.001 mW, or 1/1,000,000th of a Watt.[/align][/align] W = (E²/R)which is\n this case = (1²/ 1,000,000) = 0.000001, or 0.001 mW.[/align][/align]The maxiuum current is 1/1,000,000th of an ampere (E/R) or 0.001 mA; or ... 1/20,000th of 20 mA...[/align][/align][/align]

I know this is an old thread, I want to make my own Mil's and been searching around for a "how to".

Quick question, the original poster schematic shows the resitor on the gray wire...on Cliff's its on the black wire. Does anyone know which one it should be on or does it matter?

Sorry I meant "Gray" as OP or "black" on Cliff's link?
