What's up people ? ... Quick question ... It's raining here today in NYC ...
Anyways I'm driving this morning on I-95 & hit this humongous puddle ...
Then a few seconds later my car starts sputtering then cuts off ...
Thank goodness for AAA ...
Got it towed but still won't start ...
Could I have fried something ? ...
Or will it start after she dries up ? ...

hmm,,,maybe dist cap? I have seen engines hydrolock but you said it will crank so thats not it. You got spark?

try starting at wot(wide open throttle) and pump like crazy. I had no fender wells during the rain and my filter sucked up water all the time. And that fixed it.

Sounds like the water got into the dist cap and killed the spark for you.

my chevy did this.

would stall out everytime going over a big puddle

ended up getting flooded so i did like what someone here already said, crank it at WOT and this will clean all the water out or most of it atleast
