It's a black lx 5.0 with 134,000 miles. The exterior is in good shape and the interior looks brand new. The guy said the suspension is brand new and he just put 4:10 gears on it. It has flowmasters and a new intake. It's an automatic and he said he just put a shift kit on it. Is $5000 a reasonable price?

if it has all the work he says is done to it and can show you reciepts i dont see why not.
assuming the car is rust free and has a clean carfax report (no accidents)
if it was a notchback, that price is perfect but since its a hatch (more common), i think you could definitely bring him down a couple hundred atleast.
again if he can show u reciepts and they tally up to around 5 grand, go for it.

If its a real nice unmolested car then 5 grand isn't a bad price. I would however try and talk him down to about 4500 or so. But it really boils down to how bad you want the car. Keep in mind that a GOOD 5.0 is getting harder and harder to come by. Most of these cars have seen their share of hotrodding so to find one that hasn't had the wheels ran off of it is starting to become more of a challenege. Good luck
