What if.........

What if.........
I put new heads (AFR 165 or TFS), TFS1 cam, and a 75 or 100 shot of nitrous on my stock 140K mile motor. When it blows (I'm guessing it will), will I damage my new heads/cam? Should I just put on the heads/cam and back off on the nitrous? Bad thing is, I already have the nitrous kit sitting in the garage!!![&o][&o]
I know this is hypothetical, but I am REALLY thinking hard about heads and a cam. I don't want to blow about $1500 - $1700 because I'm being impatient. That's about all I have left to spend right now on the car.

RE: What if.........
If it does blow, you run the risk of a piston contracting the head. Thats going to mess things up. Usually, running to much nitrous will burn a piston up before it blows the engine, and thats usually from running to lean a mixture.

RE: What if.........
its still in its prime man!
i work with 3 guys who have 5.0s that drag them. One guy put the bottle on his at 167k and it put him in the 12 teens. if anything the nitrous will reseal your piston rings and make it run better. 140k is nothing. like i said, still in its prime
