it will be easier with the trans removed.
you need to take out a roll pin that holds the shifter mechanism in, to take it off the shaft.
then you can unbolt the shaft and take off the tailhousing.

Word, the trans will be out anyway.
So you've replaced it before? Is it just pressed and or what?

only 40? thats pretty cheap for a hunter system. my college has that same one, and i hate the heads on it. my highschool had one that had the laser beam projecting heads and it was like 85 grand. some dumbass dropped one of the heads and broke it. [:@]
