Default now what

Ok changed my thermostat and tested did not leak and seems to be working just fine. Overnight I notice a puddle of coolant under my car. I don't think it's the water pump. It seems to be to far up front to be water pump.

My question is: could it be the water pump? If not could you give some advice as to what I should be checking?

Thanks!

Run the car and see where it leaking from. The puddle got there some how so it has to drip from some where.

Is it coming from your coolant overflow???? That would make the most sense if you say it does not leak until the car cools down

Meaning when your car cools down and if there is to much coolant it will overflow to the coolant over flow bottle. And vise versa if the car needs more coolant it will come from the overflow bottle. Maybe that pastic bottle has a crack in it.

Well, for me I do the opposite. With my rad.cap off I start my car and let it warm up and when the thermostat opens it drops the level then I add and fill the rad. full
