50mikey, can you post pics?

Can someone post a pic of their AOD or Manual tranny shifter?

when I removed the man shift rubber boot, the rubber was cut up and the shifter was not through the center hole in the rubber shift boot. The boot is attached to a gold metal frame. The frame was only half bolted down, and was wiggling around.

Im gonna check the tailshaft now.

No door tag

please post pix
My brain is a little slow today, I honestly dont know what your asking.

The big question is with the consol on and everything is all nice and in place, where does the shifter sit in the bezel when its in neutral?

Cause honestly, if your car had been wrecked hard enough to shift the transmission and crossmember over to the right an inch or more, you wouldnt be asking whats up with it. Im 90% sure it used to be an AOD. Mine looked identical after I got done swaping it. I just took the extra 30 seconds to trim up the hole with a sawzall then cut myself a piece of rubber to fit around everything.

Here is another reason I think its an AOD swap versus a wreck.
This is what happend to mar car, and there was no chassis tweaking or moved crossmembers. This is also why I say you should be able to notice if your car had been wrecked bad enough for a wreck to be the cause of this.

Number one
Number two
Number three
Number four

What numbers are you trying to give us?
This: "E6ZR 7003-FB REP-ATI" is the tranny number.
Your VIN should have a code in it for the tranny. There isnt a tag in your door sill?

It's a former AOD car. That's exactly how mine looks after swapping in a T-5 and using a manual crossmember. Everything lines up perfectly under the car. In fact, I blew my T-5 a few months ago and jut put in a TKO 600 and it's in the exact same spot. No worries. If your trans was mis-aligned by as much as it looks like it is, you'd have all kinds of wicked vibrations and the trans would basically eat itself. The shifter looks like a B&M Ripper.

Don't trust the "angles" in these pics.

I was not holding the camera straight
