nothin personal....but why would you want a civic? I beat turbo'd civics at the drags on a weekend basis...i would go with the stang without even thinking about it....

YOu know with 4 grand you could make ur stang run 12's right? a Vortech S/C'r with all suspension mods, if you get ur suspension set up right...you can make a totally stock stang with a S/C'r run into the high 11's with a good driver and some slicks....

just letting you know.

Couldn't pay me to own a civic. I'd use the cash to upgrade the mustang, but I wouldn't go in debt to do it. But I'm not you. I'd also include some heads in that wish list before some of the other stuff you listed, like the alum driveshaft. Again, I'm not you.

The fastest street civic in my area that i know of is struggling to run 13.00 in the 1/4....the dragged out, completely gutted, not even close to streetable ones run in the 11's....i personally know two people that have high 10 sec mustangs that they both drive to work daily...one guys is a high 11 car on motor ran a 10.8 in Commerce georgia on a 150shot. The other one is a 10.9 car with a Vortech super charger on it. Both are completely streetable. Good luck with a civic......

But im just mustang obcessed.....

different strokes for different folks i guess.....

I guess it boils down to...what's your need? fast or reliable? and NO you can't have both with that highly of a modded Mustang.

well buy some iron aftermarket heads...like the World Windsor jrs...or some GT-40;s and do the head swap at a friends house over the weekend..he'll never know the difference. They cant be determined apart unless you really get down there and poke around. GT40's are great heads for a street/strip car....and you can also put in hidden nitrous systems. So there is always a way around all this...

and i agree with Dath, i wouldnt go into debt just to have a nice car....it isnt worth it. especially with interest rates going up, a war looming, gas prices high as hell, car insurance under 25 is a killer, etc....Ugh....

personally i'd take 40 miles to the gallon over 10 sec quarter passes.

and because all civics are slow in your area, doesnt mean they are everywhere. every time i go to KCIR i see a consistant 9 sec civc, all motor.
