Default 4" cowl hood

Hey guys I am getting a cowl hood and am stuck between 4" and 2.5" and just had a few questions. I want the 4" but I am not sure I am packing enough power to rep the 4". I have the mods in my sig and I just ordered the trickflow top end kit and full bassani exhaust. Do you think this is enough that I won't look like a poser w/ a 4"? I think I am going to order my hood from Champion (http://www.championfiberglassproducts.com/mustang.html) any thoughts on them? Also I am 5'9 is there any major clearance issuses w/ the 4" or 2.5"?

Appreciate the help guys,
Jimmy

Just 1 more question guys, I know hood pins are recommended in the front. Would these hood pins work ok (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Musta...53284401QQrdZ1) and if so how hard are they to install?

4" is kinda big, IMO, unless you need the clearence. 2.5 would look better.
I have a Maier Racing 3".
No need for hood pins if it's a bolt on hood. Just make certain you use the the safety latch. I've seen too many people leave them off only to forget to completely latch the hood.
Let me know the quality (fit & finish) of the Champion hood.

I had a 4' on my 88 and it was kind of hard to see out of...especially going around right hand turns, etc.

If you are getting a fiberglass hood, get the pins. I have a set of Mr Gasket pins on mine. I have a 2.5 inch cowl I purchased from the same web site you are looking at. 4" is hoooge, so plan on looking over it all the time. The pins are easy to install, take your time and follow the directions, and yes, you will be nervous when you drill holes in you new hood.

thats what I thought but champion says
*If racing or hard driving with a bolt-on, it is recommended that hood pins be used in front of hood. This is just as a safety precaution.

friend of mine just ran a small steel wire from hood and reaches under front bumper
to clip it to the radiator frame with quick release latch made for climbers.

good safety and no pins to ***** with
