So instead of going with a 331 and 10+ lbs of boost I could go with a 347 instead and it would be cool?

I'd rather go with a nice strong 351 block with 10 psi..but if your heart is set on a 347 they have become fairly reliable

First off Jasper... that article on 331 ways to waste an ls1 was a supercharged motor.

Okay secondly, a 331 stroker kit from eagle is nice. You should probably research different companies, like dss, etc. A 331 is better for the lighter cars like mustangs. A 347 will have more torque for the heavier cars. The 347 isn't as reliable as a 331 in the long run. Either motor is a terrific for street cars.

Now as for the budget... good luck.

P.S. The stock headswill have to be at least ported. There is noway you will make power with stock heads and intake. just my 2 cents

J......those mags are a joke on that stuff we can't get free crap like they do......it can be really said here that doing a real budget stroker isn't a good thing but you can get kits for like 750.00 or so

i think thats something u need to figure with ur bugdet. or check out some old MM&FF. i know they have a budget 347 and i think 5.0 mustangs and super fords did an article about budget 347's. and then there was also the article 331 ways to smoke a ls1
they were just examples. this guy was wanting us to completely make a list of parts that he should buy instead of doing any research at all. and futhermore they say there on a budget, they don't say how much of a budget and won't someone esle to make a list for there 331. strokers aren't cheap plain and simple! if u have to come on here and ask for someone to make u a list of parts ur not ready for a build up like that. u didn't see come on here and ok i am building a 347 tell me everything i should buy. no i surfed the web through numerous articles and decided on parts and then asked opionions. i just recommended them looking at those articles just to show them its not going to be cheap and they have a long road ahead of them.
