AFR's run about 1400$ a pair, depending on the size of them. Unless your going FI then id stock with the 165cc. Not to hijack, but If i did a P&P of gt-40's how would it flow compared to some aluminum heads?

I had a set of E7TE heads done and the cost would have been outrageous. The shop I had them worked at did alot of 4cyl road race heads for people all over the world. The shop gets $3000-$4500 for a 4 cyl head! That doesn't include parts. These guys weren't like your run of the mill machine shop they were cylinder head only. They told me polishing actually hinders air flow. You want a rough surface or a grooved surface. I traded out work with the shop to do my heads and they put alot of man ours into them, used bigger valves, reshaped the combustion chamber for more compression and to unshroud the valves and they still didn't flow as good as AFR 165s CNC ported.

Blackbetty-- You don't need to swap your cam, but a lot of people do since they have it all apart anyway. You can find a good Trickflow Stage 1 for $100 or so. Also, Central Florida Motorsports has (or had) AFR's for $1278 shipped (c-f-m.com). That's the cheapest I've seen them anywhere, but you might call Dave from jdsperformance.com and see what he can do...he's always got really good deals that he can't advertise online.......
