Where is my oil going?

RE: Where is my oil going?
All 5.0s burn a slight amount of oil from the factory. After 100xxx miles, it will burn quite a bit compared to other cars, but its nothing to worry about. My car has 113xxx miles on it, and burns about 1 quart per 1000 miles, which isnt that bad.

Hell every week I gotta add a quart of oil. My car doesnt burn oil, but I'll be damned where its leaking from. All kinds of leaks and this motor only has 5k miles on it.

Mustangs are famous for sucking oil up the PCV on the back of the intake, and rear intake seals and sometime front like to leak especially if the intake has been off before and not put on right (Alot of black gasket maker)

RE: Where is my oil going?
My 88 uses about a quart every 1500 miles. I simply added an oil separator onto the pcv system to keep the innards clean, and run the thing everyday with no problems. From all the reading I've done on the 5.0 oil burning issue, it seems that some do, while others don't. Sometimes I worry about it, but for the most part, I just run the bitch...and keep the oil fresh.
