Go ahead and reset your computer also.It's a good idea to do that everytime you replace a part or sensor especially if it's bad (such as your ACT) so your ECU can re-learn the parameters of it.

What's ACT anyways? Do you mean the ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature sensor) which plugs into the top front of the engine just by the front of the fuel rail but actually goes into a coolant hose coming from the engine?

running extremly rich...terrible gas mileage......sometimes when i started driving it it would backfire once maybe twice while cold....but stopped after it warmed up......he told me to replace those 2 things....i gotta take it down the road for bout 10 miles now and see after i reset the puter like adder said

proset...my ACT is on the passenget side behind the water neck...my ECT is on the driver side right behind the 1st injector.....this is on my 93 GT so not sure what you have and where it would be at

Mine runs so rich that even if you don't get on it, your eyes will burn, when I get on it, my eyes burn like someone has rubbed an onion in my eyes. Maybe it just the dumps on the car, but I doubt it.

well i bought them at the same time...mine was the original sensors that came out of the old motor.....one was 25 and the other was 15...i cant remember which was what tho sorry...40 buks for both of them

o.k, so there are 2 act sensors, is that correct, btw, thank you for all the info, that is a good and cheap place for me to try and figure out what is going on.
