Default What you think this is worth?

Looking at a 1988 coupe. 5.0, AOD...

Unknown mileage but guessing over 150K due to the condition of the car. Interior is farily beat down. Body has almost 20 years worth of dings and pings on it, but nothing major. Headlights are hazed bad, bumper paint is crackly, hood need to be replaced, driver's door lock is broke, missing a lot of little trim pieces inside (door handle bezels, steering column surround, ashtray lid, ect). The car has a rebuilt title (not a salvaged, but rebuilt meaning that it was only external cosmetic damage). I guess the car was hit on the front right area damaging the fender (replaced alread), bumper (repainted shotty), and hood (which still needs to be replaced). Bushings and shocks are worn (especially in the rear .. notice the stance). Car has 17" Centerlines in good conditions, but the tires are shot.

Owner is asking $2,500 ... got them down to $2,300 ... I was offering $1,800 but he wouldn't take it ... Personally I don't think it's worth over $2,000 ... what you all think?

I wouldn't pay more than 2K for it.I would Kelly Blue Bookitand if the tires r shot than it was probably driven pretty hard. But from the pictures it does look like a nice car tho...

On the underside of the car? Near the front or rear of the drivers seat?

the pic didnt work but from the discription i wouldnt even contemplate buying that car. spend like $3500 on one in good shape w/ decient miles
that car need sooo much work and it will cost you prob like $5000 and the car to fix and locate all the parts. IMHO not worth it

just remember that a car that has nothing done and is stock will cost a lot to make the way you want it. people who mod and sell LOOSE money big time.

get on www.50rusto.com and price out how much the rust-o-ration will cost....usually it will cost a lot.

if the body is not in great shape and it needs a new hood, i would offer no more that 1800 because you are going to be putting a shiz load of money to get it looking bitchin. i know from personal experience....
