Default Transmission Vibrations

In 4th gear around 5k rpms and in 5th gear 2600rpms+ my transmission starts to have a clatter noise, like something is being thrown around inside. its not the ujoints or driveshaft we already checked. i cracked my cluster gears before and got it fixed supposedly is it possible that they missed part of the old gears and didnt take it out? my mustang buddy who works on them whenever hes not working says the tranny sounds different and will probably last another year so long as i dont drive it hard(i dont b/c im afraid to race anyone, its pointless when you have no top end or cant stay in gear till your peak rpm ). i was wondering if anyone knew had an idea of what to do, besides getting a new transmission. im willing to take it apart but im very hesitant to do so.

if they left part of the gear in there sue them lol... it's hard as hell to miss a piece of a gear lol... take it apart and see if there is anything obvious.. and drain the fluid and see what it looks like

I wouldnt do that, the cover is a pain to get out and you need to buy new parts if your gunna take of the cover. Well actually its just a roll pin, but its still a pain in the *** if you dont knwo what your doing.

a pain in the *** to take a tail shaft off and the top cover??? umm ok i guess.... and you can reuse the roll pin for the shifter assy. the only thing he would need is tranny fluid and a thing of RTV... and to take it apart and take out what ever is floating in there is going to be cheaper than to leave it in there and let it **** everything up and have me rebuild it or buy a new/rebuilt one...

if it is actualy a piece of metal floating around in there and if messes things up it's gunna be like a 1200$ rebuild from me so a shop is gunna be ALOT, and astro charges 200 for a core that is usable, so if the tranyn gets that messed up guess what they won't accept it as a core

he rebuilt it for 200 even though it was supposed to be a "world class transmission" if anyone has a true def of what a world class tranny is. i know that the only thing thats supposed to be better is a tremec SUPPOSEDLY i highly doubt it

200 would cover parts and thats it.... and i'm prolly in the top 3 of who knows the most about a t-5... the WC T-5 is from late 86 and newer there are alot of trannys stronger than the t-5, such as the g force t-5 t-5Z t-56 tko-500 and 600 there are more but i'm not listing them all
