Default building a T-5?

I was wondering when my transmission goes out if you can get a T-5 to support around 500hp and probably 550 or 600 pounds of torque? Cause eventually I plan on getting a 347 shortblock and putting either a vortech or procharger on my car. I was also wondering would it be better just to buy a TKO tranny instead?

on 50resto says To fit in a 1994-95 Mustang, modify vehicle crossmember, lengthen driveshaft .625" and use clutch fork E6ZZ-7515-A. How much would it cost to have the crossmember modified and the driveshaft lengthened?

do you do any highway driving? if so you'll want the .64 tko not the .82, modifying the crossmember is simple, but you'll have to look around about what to do with the driveshaft and fork
