What are some questions I should ask when looking to buy a 5.0?
Right now Im about to call to set up an appointment to take a look at a '91 5.0 that I found out about through a friend. Ill have to wait till Saturday to see the car as its about 45 minutes away. Guy is asking for $1,900 my friend says to just offer him 1,500 and he'll take it.
Questions I can come up with:
Miles? Original?
Is he original owner?
Any history of accidents?
Tranny problems?

ask about electrially problems... if u by a car with a ****ed up electrical system you lookin at like 4k to replace it all... if its carbed you wouldnt have to worry about that.... as him about mods... if its not modded then he probably didnt push it to hard... check for rust and take a magnet with u and hold it up to the body it should stick.. if it doesnt then its had some type of damage and some1 bondoed it... and if they did a ****ty job it could be a be miss.... drive it listen to the tranny and rear end... listen to the engine under idle and wot and just a basic cruise... check exhuast for rust or holes... try to get him to let u drive to autozone and run the codes that well tell u about ne vacuum leaks check out hte brakes make sure they grab well

The first thing I would ask is "So hey how bad do you have the **** kicked out of it" No seriously check the car over reallly good and ask him if you can take it for a ride with him in it and get on it alittle to see if it has any fibrations or engine missing.....Good Luck!
