I need a hood
Im getting my car's body redone soon and I need to get a new hood.
Ive decided on a Cobra R hood but I need to know which brands are good (quality, fit, finish, etc) and which are crap.
I know Cervini's is good but I dont want to pay their prices.
One of the hoods Im looking at is made by Champion Fiberglass. Ive seen some good things and some bad things about them though.
Im really trying to spend $400 or less on a hood.

When I bought mine from Cervini's, it was 359.00 they have gone up considerably. Quality is unsurpassed though.

its just a regular cowl hood i dont know if they make the cobra r, but i got a trunk lid from this company and it was very good quality

haha, did you buy it in the 80's or something, i dont think they have a hood for under 450 now

I made the mistake of spending less on a hood on my 86. I bought a hood from champion fiberglass for $230 I believe. The hood had thin spots, was uneven, didn't line up great and you couldn't use the factory latch with it even though they claimed you could. Within 2 months it started getting cracks in the fiber glass.
