RE: high flows cats installed.. car feels sluggish
oh and by the way.. it was sized correctly. I made sure it had the same inlet and outlet as my exhaust. Also, they showed me flowcharts comparing it to magnaflow and they flowed about the same. I dont remember the brand though.
How long should I drive before I get the car inspected?? Should I run the car hard like I was autocrossing the 50 miles?? lol

Run your car hard before you go to get it inspected and leave it running until they put it on the sniffer. Cats work better hot.
If you have a bad O2, a KOEO/KOER test will tell you. Mine showed "passenger side bank lean." I replaced both and it runs much better....no more extra fuel to compensate for the bad O2.

Not sure what your codes would be though...

RE: high flows cats installed.. car feels sluggish
just got off work and Im about to go run the obd1 and look under the car for the o2's. How much do new o2 sensors cost??
Since I owned the car it has been missing in low gears only when bearly accelerating. Whenever I floor it you cant feel it missing and when the rpms rise about 2.5-3k you dont feel it missing. Could this be a bad o2 sensor?? I might just replace them even if it doesnt throw a code.
Also, my odometer just quit working today. The speedo still works fine, but I noticed the odometer isnt moving. Any suggestions??

ok here are the codes it threw(was running the engine during the test)
314-Thermactor air system/fault during engine run self-test / left side
311-Thermactor air system/fault furing engine run self-test
332-insufficient EGR flow detected
Also, since it is dark outside while I was running the test I was able to see the back spark plug sparking.
Also, while running the test when the obd1 determines the cyclinders it said 6..?? was I supposed to set it before running the test?
Could the missing be possibly because of the spark?
Damnit.. forgot to look for the o2's

Most likely the arcing plug wire is causing the miss.
Those codes should have very little affect on how the car runs, if any affect at all.
You should have to setup the reader for your motor, usually by entering the 8th digit of the VIN.

RE: high flows cats installed.. car feels sluggish
alright thanks
I am pretty positive the missing is from the spark plug wires. I got new plugs about 2-3 months ago. I am going to check the gap on the plugs and also change the spark plug wires. I just took the car for a spin after messing with the plugs and wires. I pushed them on the plugs more and moved them around. And when I started the car it started up right away instead of taking a few seconds like usual. Also, I didnt feel any missing while driving. So im sure its the spark plug wires since im not sure how old they are.
thanks
what type of wires should I buy?? I dont really want to spend too much, but I dont want to settle for something crappy. thanks again

Just about any wire should work well.
As they age the resistance can increase, which is why they should be replaced.
You should be able to test them with an Ohm meter, but I have never gotten around to trying it out.
I have some test guidelines for plug wires somewhere if you are interested.
A missing cyl. will cause your HC's to go really high too. Give the cats some time to clear out the extra fuel, as this can hurt their efficiency.
