Default murphys law

went to put the engine back together and the guy found water in the cylinders. so im off to buy a new block and i need some input. i would like it to hold 500 comfortably but ill settle for less. what about prices. what pistons and what else should i change while im at it

well only the block was in the car. the rest was off. he opened the hood and alll the cylinders have rust in them and one was filled with water. they acted like cups and just held the water

take it out and use a scotch bright pad to get the light rust out . If its heavy rust now you can bore it out and dump a bigger piston in it

well heaid ill get the rest of the car and the super charger for 1000. so i have another 1700 to spend to fix the engine...i will need to pay someone to put the eninge together weather i keep the stock block or get a new one so i figure i might as well get a stronger one while im at it

So whats goin on in this thread? And whats it have to do with Murphy's law? Your cylinders have a little bit of rust...hone or bore it and your set.
