ORIGINAL: dimebag

93 pros:
mass air
better trans(world class, as opposed to the non world class)
faster stock for stock
i like the front end better then most 4eyes... most i said
id rather 5speed, but build that auto, its more consistant
etc
I beg to differ on which is faster stock for stock. The 93 weighs a lot more than the 85 yet only has 10 hp more.
The 85 has FORGED pistons where as the 93 has hypereutectic. The 85 is a 5spd (which is a WC BTW), the 93 is an AOD (slug). The 85 IMO is a safer car because it actually has REAL metal bumpers, not some plastic bs (both front and rear). The interior is cooler lookin (IMO). AND ITS CARBED!!!! How awesome! While these dip****s spend all this extra cash tryin to supe up their crappy EFI system, you can actually spend the money on other REAL go fast parts (like heads, cams hell even an underhood supercharger thats for carbs). BTW, a properly tuned carb will run just as well as EFI. Not to mention EFI will NEVER give you the kick in your pants like a double pumper.
The downside to the '85, is the front brakes and the rear axle. '85's came with puny 9" rotors. But if you need spindles and struts I have a set for this conversion. And it also had the 7.5" rear. But you dont have to worry about upgrading the axle until youre at teh 320+rwhp mark. Which is EASILY attained with a carb.
And like other people said, the 4-eyes are getting far and few between. so youll truly have a unique car.
-P.
PS: The 85's look badass with headlight covers.

Thats the bumper cover. Underneath it, the actual bumper (reinforcment bar), is steel. The 87-93's under the bumper cover had this plastic honeycomb lookin BS, with some styrofoam absorber material. The 85's had steel bumpers front and rear.

oh..try and avoid the T-Tops...they were not designed very well and are prone to leaking...i remeber mine constatly dripped on my left knee in the rain...vaseline on the seals works for a while...the T-Tops do look cool though.

You can't see it in the pic i posted above, but body flex was causing a dent on each side of the car just near the roof line where the back hatch meets.
