RE: Selecting the right exhaust
I'm goin with the H pipe, Flowmaster 40's, but heres the best part. Just to put the fear of God into ricers at the stoplight when they rev up their crap.. Electric cutouts! Just flip a switch and treat em' like a b**ch. I cant wait, the car life is good.

Ok I will follow your advise and probably go with motorcraft or autolites. I am having a problem removing the air silencer. I just could not find it. Does anyone have a pic of what needs to be removed?

As far as exhaust, Flowmaster is the sound of Mustangs. Great, now that's out of the way...... If you want performance, go Dynomax, Borla, Magnaflow...any of the others, pretty much. Unless you go 1 chamber flows, you won't get the best performance out of them.
Mid pipe: If you have emissions testing, you'll need a pipe w/ cats. Bassani's stainless X is modular, meaning you can remove the section of pipe w/ cats and swap in a straight pipe piece. My friends LS1 exhaust had it and it was very convenient and easy to do. I've got the Mac Prochamber, not installed yet.... It works like an H pipe to merge gases, but flows better than an x or an H, especially on high HP applications.
Headers: If you just want a few bolt ons and a full exhaust [is it even possible to stop there????], then get shorties. Otherwise, get longtubes b/c you will grow into them and they will NOT hurt your performance....although they may not be emissions legal.
