I know its not a H.O the Whole motor was rebuilt and it only has 8,000Km on it since it was done.

Anybody know whats in this motor and how big the difference is between H.O and non-H.O

the difference if about 50hp less and probably about 20-30ft-lbs of torque less then the HO. the heads are crappy E6 headsand if it still has the stock styleTrue flat top pistons you cant chage the heads or cam unless you flycut youre pistons or change them out to ones with valve reliefs. plus the regular 5.0 has a different cam and a different fireing order. trust me.. youre car will feel like a fox with a v-6 in it after you change the motor if you go to a non HO motor. not worth the time in labor to put it in.

i'm not posative if 84 is or not. i know for a fact the 86 motors have true flat top pistons with no valve reliefs in them if they have the stock pistons.
