laptop messed up my PMS

well, since it was nice today I figured I would hook up the PMS and start tuning.
got it tuned pretty good, and wanted to check out the interlog software so I unplugged the handheld and hooked up the laptop, when I started it up the pms started to smoke lots, so I turned it off fast andunhooked it.
it burned something inside and dow it says the handheld isnt found
man Im pissed at myself

Man that blows, sorry to here that. Do you have to get a new PMS now?

Im hoping they can fix it if I send it back and hopefully it wont cost too much[:@]

That would be good, does the pms have any kind of fuse in it, they should put one in it some where.

no fuse, they should put some kind of overload protection in it though

shows what you know. I got the car running yesterday. Today im hooking in the wideband and tuning my fuel tables. then next weekend im schedualed to hit up Ocean State Performance for 5 hours of dyno time with tuning...
